The reception, restaurant, bar and sports desk were attentive and friendly throughout the stay.I've placed it at four stars to reflect an honest opinion of my feelings for the hotel but should say that I nearly tipped it towards five.I stayed in the annex opposite the main hotel. The room (or should I say suite) was perfect, although there was a loud bar across the road open until 2am. Despite the loud music, the patio kept most of the noise down and sleeping wasn't a problem for me. The rooms within the main hotel wouldn't be bothered with this noise. The meals were all inclusive and a buffet style. I was impressed that they pre-made sandwiches each morning (which most of us take for a sneaky lunch when away for the day) and the rest of the continental breakfast was great. I can't comment on the cooked breakfast as it's not for me at any time. Lunches and evening meals were varied, although if you don't go in as soon as the restaurant opens some food may be a little luke warm.During the holiday I spoke to various other travellers which stayed at other hotels around Gumbet. Most I spoke to were not impressed with their accommodation (and some had to change rooms various times due to hygiene levels), so I found myself lucky to stay at Sami Beach as there were no issues of any note there. Other people also staying at Sami Beach throughly enjoyed their stay and many had returned from previous years. I would therefore recommend a stay at Sami Beach Hotel.
Been here a few times now. You get problems in any hotel but things get sorted if you ask and not demand !!Food is nice but not a MacDonalds as people ask for, why they want to eat that rubbish I'm unsure. There's enough choice for everyone. Drinks are basic but s ok. Overall , for the price and stars of hotel it's very good and no complaints at all. You CANNOT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE NOISE FROM NEXT DOOR KAREOKE BAR WHEN ITS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOTEL!!THANKS SAMI
I was a guest at Sami Beach from 6 - 16 of September, in the fist week my staying was nice, beach clean right beside the hotel, the food excellent with variety of choice and the staff that works at the restaurant and beach bar really kind and polite..rooms ok in the central building but across the street are awful, poor internet conection..Everything was good until I got robbed in the end of my staying, the room cleaner that is a woman that initials starts with E took a valuable designer item from my suitcase, it wasnt even out so it means that she was digging inside my things, I immediately went to report the disappearance to the menager ( only one of them was polite ) others were even suspicious that I lost it and were covering all the time the cleaner, they didnt wanted to check who entered my room else than me and my mom.. My tourist guide told me that in the last shift money was missing from other guest, so security in this hotel is really poor and that accident destroyed my holiday. Really disappointed by the hotel and general menager making me to feel like a idiot, never ever again there!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We checked in shortly after midnight, arriving to a bunch of people arguing with the hotel staff about the state of their rooms and threatening to leave if their rooms weren’t changed. When we were finally seen, me and my mother filled in the paperwork then were left for 20 minutes whilst the staff went off into the office. We were shown to our room, located in the annex building. The annex is across and up the street from the Sami Beach Hotel and is actually closer to the neighbouring Parkim Ayaz Hotel (which is definitely much more worth your money). Our room was shoddy, scruffy, awfully basic, the TV didn’t work, paint was peeling off the walls, electrical wires exposed, chunks missing out of the wall, the so-called “sea view” was behind a bunch of rooves. The annex is dark, the spiral staircase has huge gaps which make it unsafe, the lock on our door was RUSTING away - we had to put our suitcase behind the door for added security. We asked for a room change FOUR TIMES as reception: the first time we were promised one, the second we were told to come back at lunch, the third we were told they couldn’t do it, the fourth we got told that the “hotel was full” and got shown another shabby annex room. There is no safe, there is no wi-fi other than in the lobby, there wasn’t even cups or teaspoons to make hot drinks in the room. I had to boil the kettle in the BATHROOM because of the awkward placement of the plugs. The noise from the nearby clubs and bars goes on until 3am. The fridge smells. The shower goes from lukewarm to boiling with no in-between and the water pressure isn’t great. The food is alright but you’d probably cook better meals yourself at home. Very much a poor quality continental European menu, not much for Brits - not even a cooked breakfast. Of the breakfast on offer, one dish was Fruit Loops mixed with Chocolate Cornflakes… make of that what you will. We couldn’t even have toast because the toaster was broken. The entertainment is only good if you’re into dancing - different dance genres every night. The bar is okay. The staff can both be quite rude and friendly - we had to speak to the receptionist through GOOGLE TRANSLATE as he couldn’t speak well enough English. There was actually a German man having a go at him for using Google Translate and speaking Turkish to staff. The website images are completely misleading, this is an appalling hotel and there are many others in the area which are much better value than the Sami. Never returning. We actually hate it that much that we actually moved hotels. Avoid Sami at all costs.
There is no Wi-Fi here, keeps shutting down and no reception available.People do not English at the front desk. It was one of the worst holidays of our life.People there were quite rude and unfriendly especially restaurant staffs. Our room has changed 3 times, the hotel room was stank of savage badly, bathroom floor was so dirty covered in dirt even blood. The shower head was broken, there were absolutely no entertainment for adults or children.Food is poor there is never real meat they make Turkey look darker in soy sauce and serve Turkey every meal! Bar staff accepted the alcoholic drinks were water down. There is no real coffee in the hotel, just a vending machine with chemical coffee mixed served. We are really really unhappy that we chose this place. The sea is full of seaweed and last week there was a poo swimming in their swimming pool.We informed the hotel staff and they did not do anything about it.Regards,Ayse
Sami Beach is a fab hotel, lots of updated rooms which are lovely, plenty of wardrobe space. Walk in showers are a good size. The staff are helpful and friendly. Food is not always what your looking for, I have always found something nice to eat, the soup is fab, the breakfast chef is always happy to do fried eggs even when it an omelette or pancake day.Kate is a lovely lady who is our go to person at the hotel if we need anything sorted. She goes above and beyond for guests even when the guests are being deliberately rude and obnoxious for no reason. The location of the hotel is fabulous as you just step out of the restaurant cross the walkway and you are on the beach looking at the beautiful views of the bay.My friends and I have been going there for 5 years and already booked for next year.Don't complain about the hotel, when its a 3 star hotel and you pay 3 star prices! If you want 5 stars then pay for a 5 star hotel!
